Our Values
Approachability
We believe that psychotherapy should be available to all who can benefit. We are committed to equality and have a positive approach to cultural and sexual diversity. We have a number of low cost places to help people on low incomes to access our services.
Confidentiality
We are regulated by a strict code of professional ethics and are members of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling and accredited members of the British Psychoanalytic Council. This means that everything you share with us is confidential to the therapy. Only in certain exceptional circumstances – for example where there may be a danger of abuse or in relation to terrorism – may we be obliged to contact others in the interests of safeguarding.
Integrity
We have each received rigorous training lasting a minimum of five years and our Practice is rooted in mainstream psychodynamic thinking, which has the longest track record of all the modern talking therapies. Our approach to psychotherapy therefore focuses on addressing the specific issues that each individual brings, rather than taking you through a pre-set programme.
